The Board of Directors

The Board of Directors has five members:
Executive directors Gémar Hompes and Piet Maes and non-executive directors, Paul Vangerven (chairman), Bruno Van Loocke and Luc De Vos.

Their experience in the field of business and technology, strategic planning and analysis, together with their extensive knowledge of our business brings  great added value to the whole Sofico team.

Management

Sofico's vision and strategy is guaranteed by the current management structure, in collaboration with skilled teams offering know-how based on years of experience in the industry.

Gémar Hompes - Managing Director

Gémar Hompes has been with Sofico for more than 10 years. He knows the leasing industry in detail and has extensive experience. As a general manager, he started up Sofico Services Australia and streamlined the management and structure of Sofico Services Benelux.

 

 

Piet Maes - Technology & Product Manager

Piet Maes is one of the founders of Sofico and a pioneer in the development of our products. He is the architect of Leasebase and Miles' spiritual father.

 

 

 

Walter Maes - Development Manager

Walter Maes has been active at Sofico for more than 15 years, first as Systems Architect for WebIntegrator, then as Development Manager responsible for the development and quality control for the Leasebase, Web and Business Intelligence teams. Since 2005, Walter is head of the Product Unit.

 

Jan Bouckaert - Business Development Manager

Jan Bouckaert has over 20 years' experience in the leasing and fleet management industry, both nationally and internationally. He uses his expertise as Business Development Manager to help realize Sofico's strategy.

 

Jos Van Roosbroeck - Services Manager

Jos Van Roosbroeck worked for a number of years as a management consultant with CTG. He joined Interleasing Belgium (Athlon Groep) in 1992 as ICT manager and, after 10 years, accepted the responsibility of ICT director with LeasePlan Belgium & Luxembourg. As a member of the ICT council, and later the IT Leaderships Group with LeasePlan Corporation, Jos obtained strategic insight into the drivers behind international leasing and fleet management companies.

 

Koenraad Van Grimbergen - Sofico Services Australia Manager

Koenraad Van Grimbergen is Sofico Service Australia's General Manager and responsible for the Asia Pacific region. He has over 10 years' experience in the international leasing and fleet management sector.
He started at Sofico in 2001 and worked first as a Business Consultant to implement Leasebase at Inter Leasing Australia. Afterwards, Koenraad was involved in setting up our Australian office in 2002, becoming General Manager of Sofico Services Australia in 2004.
